The beauty about running to the Lambert Centre of Australia is it's not just a run in the outback, it is an adventure.

Australia is a vast country with more than 80% of the population living within the coastal zone. The Outback of Australia, home to ten deserts, is fondly known as the Red Centre due to the colour of the dirt and sand which covers it.

Due to the irregular shape of the country there is no one official centre of Australia, rather five possibilities, each having used a different method to reach them. In 1988, the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia determined the geographical centre as a Bicentennial project and erected a monument in honor of Dr. Bruce P Lambert, a former director of the Division of National Mapping. This is the Lambert Centre of Australia and a run to this point is truely remarkable and a bucket list item.

Here we hope to give you all the information you need to successfully complete a run to the Red Centre.

Your adventure awaits!
